Biggest difference between this one and mh3, there was only ever one monster in 3 that I had to be over prepared for. and that was Alteron.
Mh4 though, there is so much dangerous stuff in g rank that I find myself being paranoid and taking everything that can help.

Pro Tip: Always use the long sword Right Trigger attack when all of your teammates are around. Everybody will love you.

Always use longsword when teammates are around, period, especially lancers.
