Ref sheets are pretty expensive. Most people I know of start in the hundreds.

Art isn't cheap, man! You might want to hold out on things like reference sheets. I'd say go for sketches. Most artist charge about $20 for sketches.

Seriously, though, not a bad idea.... it's the colorations that would worry me most, because in any form, Vashan is just so.... vividly dynamic. o.o And no, I'm not referring to my portraits from Second Life.... that's inaccurate, in terms of body colorations, horn design, and so forth.... it's just the best I could get from  MagusEldred at the time. Not to sound ungrateful!

With sketches, they'd be uncolored. So, you can always get someone like LordBoo up there to color it for you in the colors that you want.

From what I've seen a two-view ref sheet tends to run about $100 for something of worthwhile quality, usually a little more for something more complex. If I spot anyone who'll do it for less I'll be sure to let you know.
