There's one slot open for a free character request, 8"x10" in colour. The only catch is it must be for a real-world species I have never drawn before. (No combos/hybrids or fan-art for this one.) Submit as many times as you like, and by Tuesday evening (about 72 hours from now) I'll pick the critter I find most interesting from the eligible submissions. Detailed descriptions would help your chances, because I can get a better feel for the character that way.
I won't be picking favourites based on how well I know you... I'm looking for something new and different for me to draw. It's sketching practice.

Did you have any other suggestions for species?
Are you talking about an anthro version, with arms and legs? Or the more nature-based legless version?
I haven't drawn many birds, if anybody is interested in that.
My aunt has two macaws. They're really squawky, like to curse at each other, then say "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" I hear Rico's started picking up the sound of my aunt's wireless ring tone recently. That causes lots of confusion at their household, if you can imagine.
Fantastic animals and combination critters vary so much from one request to another... each vision of such a character would be unique. I'm trying to nab up concepts that more than one person might ask for.
Have you any suggestions for the request offer, CB?
Besides, it kind of goes against the limits I set in the top of the post: no combination creatures or hybrids for this request.
You're welcome to add any additional species ideas, if you'd like.
I'm not quite sure, but do you want us to create new characters for this, or are existing, original characters okay?
As for stoats, those are cool : p I don't have any original stoat character, though. Badrang doesn't belong to me~
My apologies though, as I'd picked another submission as the winner. Keep those ideas in mind, because I'll probably run another block like this in the future... and there will be other types of free opportunities available.
