I'm trying it out as well. I would love a gallery feature option. Its silly to remove the single option we have for that...

I planned to stick with it until I knew all the ins and outs, but the features they removed are far too important to me. They should be important to every artists as they're extremely important to artist visibility. There's far too many artists out there to rely upon being seen through your most recent uploads showing up in the Browse page alone.

I agree. It would be better if they would instead enhance that ability: 2-3 main images for people to eyeball on the front page/profile.

Have they at least added folders? That would be nice.

for some reason the fucking messages thing is invisible for me unless its multiple messages. and i dont mean nots. I mean the notifications of new shit in the upper right corner. im on mobile and never had this problem before on my phone.

Beta is optional. Check the update link again. To change back go back into your settings (where you changed it before) and set it on the original.

turns out I was still using regular. so reg was fucked up for me. im using beta right now and it shows my notifications perfectly XD so so far its working good on my phone lol.

Well, it is a "Beta." So there are probably many many things that want to include that they haven't fixed yet. I wouldn't imagine that they aren't getting rid of it, but just haven't fixed it yet.

Well, being in "beta" assumes most things are more or less in place and now it's just bug testing and refinement.

And Favourites aren't missing, they've been hidden in a tab away from the artist's main page. Which is awful because most people won't go looking to browse an artist's Favourites list. So this will kill the biggest way artists work currently gets seen.

Yeah...I'll say that the beta LOOKS pretty good, but I agree with you. The features in the original version were pretty good the way they are. They better not remove all of those...

As for appearances, the one thing I'm concerned about is wasted space. The new interface has a lot of that. There's so much space between submission icons that you could put twice as many up there. I'd rather a strip of submissions like Weasyl uses.

Or, they could spit the submissions area in half, put 14 submissions on one side, 14 favourites on the other, with the large preview for each, all in the space they're using now to display 14 submissions. Just by using the space better!

Also, that banner at the top of the page is huge. I'd probably get rid of it entirely and let individual artists create their own banners in a smaller space. Like, just slightly taller than the advertisement banners.

There's just so much empty, wasted space it's kind of ridiculous. It makes the site unpleasant to look at.

I can take them or leave them, but I expect a lot of people would miss them and I see no reason they ought to be removed.

Hopefully the purpose of this beta is to get exactly this sort of feedback.
