Well, they're more important though for those who're animating or if you want to clean up a rough sketch onto a quality piece of bristol board for a commission. Since I bought my wacom stylus pad I haven't used my lightbox at all.
Ah ok :3 When you said light box I was thinking of my animation classes :3 Mind you I don't have the equipment to animate, nor would I know how to animate on the computer yet >.>
Yeah, struggling without groovy art materials is kind of a pain, I keep promising myself I'll buy a big monitor so I'll stop squinting at the 15" lappy screen. x-D
I am reasonably solid with digital inking; I use photoshop and painter. I've tried inking in flash and never really sold myself on it. I really want to get better with inking in real media; I hate needing digital as a crutch.

But, yeah, $30 is around what I paid for a 9x12. I'm psyched to finally be able to ink my messy pencils without so much heartache.
