Commissioning Can be a gamble.

I know I've seen several journals of artists being screwed by commissioners, but even commissioners can be screwed too.
One instance was the artist had noted me first saying they had an idea and I liked their artwork so I agreed to it. I sent payment, days, then weeks. Then I went on a stream they were having and what do you know, they've already forgotten about it. Unfortunately FA doesn't forget about notes until I delete them and I've never deleted a note.
Then another artist had an emergency, I sent them money and my idea... now they are no longer on FA because of some technical issue their browser seems to have with the website.
Yet another one I had at least gotten a rough sketch, I've been considering posting that for a few months since my last email to them on January 3 has yet to be answered and their FA page has not seen any action for over a year in new postings.
Considering though I can't use names because I'll get in trouble with FA for doing so which sucks. Though it's understandable since for a third party it's hersay... of course like I said I don't delete my notes on FA.

You deposit your money into a middleman, when the artist uploads the pic and you both agree, it transfers the money to the artist :D
The most recent time I asked she simply said "Its on the list."
Most of those people I had commissioned, were done at a time they were in need of money and asking for help, so I can only move on and hope that their lives are better now, than they had been at that time.
If I were to dwell on all the times I've been screwed by an artist, I'd probably have left the furry fandom by now.
