It's probably not Amourus itself that's dangerous. The game could be legit.

The problem is the link used. It's common for people making malware to create fake sites and infected downloads of games, programs, movies, whatever, and trick you into clicking them. That's why, when looking for a new game to play, you should never ever click on ads; look them up yourself. The same goes for anything, really. Programs, movies, whatever. Never trust ads.

There is a neat tool called Web Of Trust, an add on available for some browsers, including Firefox and Internet Explorer. If a site is known to be dangerous, it will actually stop you from entering the site. It has a rating system and, when you search sites, it will tell you which sites are deemed safe and which aren't. Green sites are the safest ones to enter, while orange and red should be avoided. Unknowns, I also avoid, personally.

I forgot to mention something else. Judging from what you said, another cause for sound and video crashes is incompatibility. It's not always a virus that can cause a computer to crash. If it was not a virus, then chances are there was a conflict somewhere and your computer simply couldn't handle it and it started to have crashing issues. I have had Half-Life 2 crash my computer every time during the opening, and it was not because of a virus, but because my computer could not handle the overlapping images in the intro.

This is something that people should learn. Viruses are not the only thing that can cause problems on a computer. It's important to distinguish what is actually causing the problem. Because if the issue is not virus related, then no amount of viral scans will help.

Yes that is all true , my sound glitching is what lead to me running a malware and seeing that is was the download of said game. On my mates side of the computer that was causing issues . At first I thought I shorted a wire in my head set but no that was not the problem. I still have no idea what happen but the drives for my headset where just gone . For my videos they would play for a few second then restart play restart play then restart .Then simple a error has accured . Yes I do have a bad problem with lumping all issues with viruses as well viruses. When it could be a Trojan, or malware or ect. When I was done with my scan it was two .pup files and both had that name on it.

Now I thought it sounded familiar but payed it no mind. Until I logged in FA and saw the ad . So rushed to make the journal to warn and vent a lil about this. It's happen before with downloads and miss leading sites that is why I always check. My mate on the other hand....God I love him but he is a first result clicker . XD

If you fear it was a virus, nothing wrong with running a few scans. It's always good to run them at least once a week or once every other week. I highly recommend Malwarebytes if you don't have it. It's really good at removing all sorts of bad stuff.

Also, not sure what browser you are running, but try to see if you can get Adblock Plus instead. Firefox has it, I know. I think Opera and Chrome have their own versions as well. It's a nice add-on that blocks out all or most ads, so you no longer see them.
