My dad took me to the beach when I was really young and showed me how to pick up crabs safely, he had a camcorder and was watching me try to pick up a pretty big (for me being a little dude) crab and I was so scared I made up a David Attenborough-esque "crab watching" program so I didn't have to touch it. Now I'd pick it up no problem :P
