Looking for a laptop

Nosing here first. After spending 2 hours trying to transfer 4 photos from my email into SAI and spending another half an hour alone waiting for it to cycle through 3 unresponsive scripts, I've had it. I don't care if someone offers me a netbook or a full size, I need something that works properly. My big Asus G50V is limping, so I can't rely on it.
My current small netbook for art is an Asus EEE that will forever be stuck in its God aweful power save mode where it slams the processor into its lowest speed. It was originally wiped and blessedly brought back by Criso but has been a hellion bastard ever since, and it feels like it's getting slower (or maybe my patience is getting shorter).
I don't care if it's another Asus eee, as long as it works properly. I'd rather not work with Linux seeing as the last time I did I was 2.
Would prefer also not to work with Aser, Gateway, HP, or Apple if I can, (no Apple since I would need to repurchase a lot of non-Apple friendly programs :p) preferred brands if I can would be Toshiba or Asus, but can be flexible. I need a processing speed of at least 1.5 if I can, and if possible, 2-3 G memory, I can survive with 1 though.
I have a complete wolf pelt I can trade, perhaps offer a foam base (no eyes) in trade, or even a taxidermy mountable swift fox pelt. I'm open to other offers as well. Anyone have a laptop in good working order for sale/trade?

i've been looking around ebay for a while this past week and i've found a computer for $100. I have the same exact type, actually, and it's definitely not a hardcore fps gaming computer but it definitely isn't shitty.

i know its rough without a computer.
If you're interested just let me know and I can tell you more about the laptop and its hiccups. As far as I remember it's the longer start up time (5 minutes) and its slowness that got to me in the end. I've had to reinstall the os several times as well to clean it up, but I believe it was once ever 6 months in the end. It could last you another year at least and might give you time to figure out what you want in the meantime and save up if finances are an issue.
And if you're not interested then I suggest you checking out alienware laptops and desktops. I've never once regretted getting them and habe always been extremely satisfied with how much it can handle at once without losing power.

I have my "old" toshiba lying around and taking dust.
I've changed it only because I needed something more powerful WITHOUT having W8.
Satellite A500 (toshiba), I5 2.27 Mhz (4 cores), 4 gig of ram, 561 Gig of HDD) 14-15 inch screen.
I was running light photshop work on it.
If you are interested WE could work out something.
Keep in mind that I'm in Canada not the State.
