Okay so I have not done TOO many freebies. And I already understand why ALOT of artists don't offer them now.
FIRST issues. I had an issue where the receiver got a free two character piece and complained about it not back to me but in her public comment on the submission. It was embaressing and rude as all get out. You don't make that stuff public. I would have been happier if the person came to me and asked me to fix it. STILL it's free art maybe they shouldn't have said anything at all. If it was paid I would totally understand. But free? Depends on how nicely they ask i suppose if they demand then heck no lol.
SECOND issue. As ANY one who goes on my profile and scraps can see I am struggling paying for my bills every 2 weeks because they all come and are due the same dates. So I have been selling adopts and my own personal characters to keep up. I do my owed freebies once in awhile in between when i am not stressed for the money. So now someone made a PUBLIC journal bashing me (without putting my username) saying i owe them a ref sheet from months ago and they are now looking for someone else to make it. It's been two months yes. But I am still doing the freebies. Just inbetween adopts because I NEEED the money. Freebies are never a priority. -.- duh.
SO. Your views on this plz. Am I wrong?

1) Some people are just ungrateful for what they are receiving.
2) You deserve to do it in your own time since its free. You need to focus on your priorities first.

I give new people a chance, and if they're rude,I don't do any more for them

Something I should point out, it's nice to leave requests to only friends, but that means people will only get to be your buddy to only get a request out of you. I sometimes ask some friends of mine are willing to do a request, but I keep a mind open that they will say no.
the second one... i-i guess have you spoken to the person? ... though I suppose its a bit harder to keep a level head when someone is talking rudely about you -.-; maybe a time frame might help them calm down ? *frets* I'm not very good wif stuff like this, s-so i'm sorry if i said something wrong *tears up nervously* woof .--.
