PSA:: PLEASE WATERMARK YOUR EERAY FILES
It's rough out here for us artists... Helloooo-!
It came to my attention that someone on Weasyl has been tryin to sell/trade off
Eerays that were stolen- Sadly they took the submission down while I was asleep
so i'm unaware if people reported it or if they got away with selling/trading...
SO-! I've said this before but might as well say it again.
To everyone who owns an Eeray, custom made or MYO,
please PLEASE watermark your files! Small tiny watermarks
are easy edited off or just not noticable.
When watermarking your files, make it noticeable, make it big!
I give out both watermarked and an unwatermarked file
when doing customs, so please post the one I have WM'd.
And for people with Toyhouse, please also post the
watermarked file.
If you don't watermark your files properly, or at all,
I will NOT be held responsible if they end up getting stolen.
It is nothing but your responsibility, not mine.
Please take care of your characters, I can only do so much.

ALSO!
If you're unsure if an Eeray sale/trade is legitimate
come to me first before agreeing to anything!
FA+

that sucks; hopefully the issue will be resolved soon
I have a feeling they chose weasyl because im not really active on there at all HMM.
(i've already made a point in my last journal there why i don't support the site anymore)
And yeah, art theft is everywhere and is bad
I'm sorry that it came to you having to post about this. =(
I mean hey, if you don't mind that your art gets stolen then be my guest lmao
it's ok~ ty ♥
hopefully people will be a little wiser
An artist full signature used to mean something and was respected, but to truly protect one's art now a days, you have to watermark it.
One reason I'm working on getting a small watermark stamp made to physically stamp arts over the larger one I have.
I was gonna say...
Really I think the best defense against art theft is an artists' fans. There are lots of them. They know who the art work belongs too.
But I understand when it comes to adopts, since an artist's signature alone doesn't mean you own it.
