For a long time... I struggled with being afraid.. being alone... being without hope.

For a long time... I couldn't look myself in the mirror... and smile

For a long time... I wouldn't listen, wouldn't trust..

For a long time... I wanted it all to end..

It took someone that I cared about.. someone that was my friend.. to say that they had given up on me, for me to realize how fucked up I really was..

For a long time... I didn't realize that the answer, the way out... was in that mirror the whole time.

Now... It's been a long time since those years... and I have never been more content with my life.. than I am right now.
