My Favorite Poem

General
I live my life in widening circles
that reach out across the world.
I may not complete this last one
but I give myself to it.
I circle around God, around the primordial tower.
I've been circling for thousands of years
and I still don't know: am I a falcon,
a storm, or a great song?
-"Widening Circles," Rainer Maria Rilke
Been thinking about this one a lot lately.
I read this poem for the first time about two years ago now, and it's been an important part of how I look at life ever since. As people, we are always growing, always experiencing, and always learning- our circles are widening every day. Even if we don't know who we are or where we're going or what we're gonna do when we get there, every day is a chance to grow somehow. Time isn't wasted. It's spent how you want to spend it.
I'm graduating from college in two weeks and fully realized adult life has me nervous. But I've met some of the most incredible people here and want to keep them around forever, and meet more along the way. I know FA is pretty much the worst place for a sentimental journal (especially since a bunch of you are ITCHING to make an inflation joke somewhere) but it's the best platform I've got. Thank you all for letting me be me, and I hope I can keep you all entertained. :)

And if I was going to share another Rilke poem it's likely The First Elegy. http://www.poetryintranslation.com/.....r_Toc509812215 There's a reason I'm named after those poems. :P
ONE DAY We'll end up at a con together or something and I hella owe you a drink when that day comes
