Major problems

Well well. It seems that there is fundamental flaw in my Cynder model. I've wasted way too many evenings trying to rig the model without much success. Everything went fine until the riggind part. :/ There are problems with legs and neck and well, pretty much everything else. O_o And when I try to animate walk loop the model get stretched and messed up so badly that it's not usable in any way. Part of the problems are caused by stupid errors in the mesh, but for some reason every possible thing when rigging seems to fail or just doesn't work the way it should work.
This obviously sucks big time (!) and probably means that I have to make a new model. And this time test it out properly before making textures and all.
FFS why can't anything work properly on first try?!

Sorry about this. I know there were some people (me included) that were looking forward to see Cynder abused. That won't happen any time soon now. :(
I'll post some wips when I get anything done. But damn, this isn't the best way to get motivated to do more 3d stuff. *SIGH*
(oh there is one positive thing about this: I can now get some good reference pics from Spyro: Dawn of the dragon - game's character gallery and the game itself, so hopefully the new model will be as close to "real thing" as possible. we shall see)

Anyway, what makes the current model look basic? it had the most complex textures I've ever made. I made some improvements to the material after I uploaded that pic to FA but there's no point in uploading new pic anymore. But are the textures bad or something else?
It always sucks when you find out you lost hours of work though. I know what it's like to have that happen and if you're anything like me, you'll have had that feeling of wanting to harm something by now. Extremely unmotivating all in all, but it's always best to just take about a day or two of doing something different, then going back to what you were doing before. Easier to stomach the pain of losing hours of work by giving yourself a bit of a cooling off time.
