I had to get a new one because the hinge on my old 3DS broke and I have lots and lots of games for my 3DS and DS so its a waste of money if I don't have one
Never know. They did step backwards to a 2DS, so many months ago. Alas...no hinge to break. (Also...no 3-D.)
These new ones have motion tracking to avoid that horrid fuzziness issue and improved processing power and a second thumb stick and more. I'm considering upgrading at some point.
I know the 2DS was more like a pad, removing the hinge for durability. It also removed the eye straining 3-D. But, aside from being a more child friendly model with improved durability, I am unsure of what else it did. Sport any bigger screens then even the XL??? So, I never gave it much attention.
