You're not allowed to post work that isn't yours, plain and simple.

If you're going to post other artists works, then you need an approval by that artist. Doesn't matter whether or not you think it's cool.

The others are being harsh because this isn't a chan where you can just post pictures to get comments. The idea is that another person worked hard to produce the work that you're putting up...and they deserve the credit.

If you want to be a part of FurAffinity, I'd recommend producing some artwork of your own and getting recognition for that.

Ditto what has already been said before. If its not yours, and you don't have the explicit permission of the artist, you can't post it. PERIOD. Violating this simple rule will get you no friends and is likely to lead to a ban for violating the AUP, SA, and the TOS.

Being tough has nothing to do with it. Violating the rights of the artists, not too mention the rules you agreed to abide by when you registered, is what's important.

This means that unless you made the work you're uploading, or the work was made for you (either as a gift, a commission, or a request), you don't have the right to upload it here and you could (and should) be banned for doing so.

FurAffinity is not an imageboard. FurAffinity is not TinyPic, Photobucket, etc. FurAffinity is meant as an art dump in the vein of DeviantArt. So until you have art of your own (or gift art/commissioned art) to post, don't go posting other people's stuff just because you think it's "cool". Otherwise you're going to be accused of being an art thief, an attention whore (which, by your own admission, you are), and an all-around gigantic idiot.

And that's not a good way to make friends; that's a good way to make a shitton of enemies.

Trying to "make friends" is not a bad thing.

Trying to make friends by posting other people's art without sourcing it and without having the right to do so IS a bad thing.

Don't post art unless it's yours or you have the right to post it, and you won't have problems.
