problem uploading help me?

My phone takes a picture when I hit submit then browse so it's not letting me go to my gallery but it's turning my picture sideways...I'm holdin b the phone correctly and it uploads it sideways.
Sideways pictures don't fall into the aup so what do I do? Any tech savvy people out there who can tell me why it's doing this and whether or not I can fix it?

sometimes thats how the pic is interpreted, so maybe if you edit on the phone and make sideways there, you can upload it and the site will correct it again and turn it sideways right.. maybe

I've had that happen think for me it was a hit or miss really. I just uploaded sideways and then fixed it when I got home.
