CD2 Talkback Journal
Now that you've had time to digest the latest Digest, we'd like to know what your thoughts on it are!
What did you think of the improvements, like our new tag system? What are we doing right and what are we still doing wrong? Did you run into any problems while purchasing or reading the magazine? Is there content here you were really happy to see, and what content you were disappointed to see lacking? What are your recommendations for our future? We want to hear whatever you have to say!
If you wish to talk about your impressions of particular entries, that's fine too, but try to keep things constructive. Some of our artists may be checking in on this journal, and although it's fine if you're disappointed in their work, we all still want to encourage them on their future endeavors.
As conversations (hopefully) start, we'll be posting your suggestions and recommendations in the journal section below:
Make the Table of Contents, and Preview Pages in general, more Visible for Curious Consumers
Written Descriptions of All Entries for Improved Consumer Awareness

Perhaps there is a better balance to be struck between 'surprise' and 'information,' but we felt posting the tagged Table of Contents on our website's product information offered a pretty good insight towards what was actually in the magazine. No it's not perfect, but it's the best we can do next to a full written description for every unique entry. Perhaps that is what we will have to do in the future. But we want you to answer a question as truthfully as possible in relation to that, to help us out: If we posted small paragraphs describing every entry (sometimes 10+), would you actually take the time to read them all before making a purchase decision?
In any event, it's our other publications that offer more consistent and focused content. As we expand our series and artpack offerings in the future we'll hopefully be offering some product lines that are better suited to specified interests.
But I do agree that small descriptions would be nice to read over before buying. If anything, it'd encourage those who who like those kinds of things more willing to buy into it while also taking out the disappointment of paying for something they end up not liking. I hope there are no hard feelings saying that...I don't want you to have thew wrong impression of how I feel. It's just business, right? ^^;
Final Feast IS on its way very soon, and 'Round Campus 2 should show up sometime next month. Tumble and Fall is not our baby (we're more like its weird uncle), however we're thrilled to hear people are enjoying it and its creators should be very pleased and inspired by its success. Hopefully we'll be seeing more adventures from Dez and Co. in the future!
Thanks for leaving a feedback post.
From our perspective, although it may not be ideal, a 16% split towards gay (male) is a perfectly reasonable content variation. When you consider that gay (female), straight, alternative genders (mixed, on male, on female), and inhuman species are all interest segments we need to be aware of, a percentage split like that seems pretty appropriate. Additionally, we stress artistic freedom with these magazines. We try to choose a diverse range of artists with representative interests, however if they turn in a proposal that is off from our prediction for them, we will not change it. When we prioritize art over content like we do, these numbers will skew. Please do not take the percentage as a sign of any particular movement within the community or agendas on our behalf, that is simply a statistical trend that's emerging among the limited set of artists we've featured this time around. We do track what percentage of entries feature male/female/etc protagonists and antagonists, but we are willing to let that skew, sometimes significantly, to get the best vore content we can.
With that explained, the simplest response to this criticism we can give is this: The Digests are for fans of vore, all varieties of it. If you are going into the magazines with any other intention, then you may be disappointed. If you are looking for gay male content, for example, you're really wanting for us to release a variety gay mag in male and female versions, in which you may be pleased if the variety content includes one or more vore scenarios. That's not meant to sound condescending, since that idea could work as a product and we'd be open to pursuing it, but it does demonstrate the difference in customer expectations I believe we're running into here.
Our other publications, like series and artpacks, allow us to better pursue target interests. If the variety mags aren't doing it for you, I suggest keeping track of those instead. If you're a fan of UnknownWolf's work, for example, his ArtPack primarily focuses on Male Vore content.
Above and beyond that, I think the other points are covered. Now that I know where to look to see if it's safe to buy in *grumble* there won't be more disappointments in the future either way.
However, I will still give a bit of my own constructive feedback, but I want to let it be known now that some of it is gonna come across as bias, because of how my sexual orientation is.
I too veer towards the gay male preference when it comes to vore. Though I don't really mind when there are female preys. Its more just female preds that are just not my thing, which turned out to be the majority with this current magazine issue.
Now like I said, I completely didn't see that the table of contents was posted as a preview, but it sounds like I wasn't the only one who missed it, so maybe placing the ToC in a easier to find spot for the next issue(s) would be a good recommendation.
Because while I love supporting artists in this community, some of which are some of my favorite artists out there when it comes to vore, the content within just left me kinda half satisfied, and I did feel like my purchase was more of a donation.
Am I saying to completely cut out other types of vore completely? Heavens no. I understand that vore is just as diverse in interests as sexuality in general is, or any other type of fetish.
For those that enjoy F/F vore or F/M vore, this comic was perhaps a joy to read for them.
But had I been able to find that table of contents preview, I won't lie that it would've had an impact on my purchase decision.
I also wanted to give a bit of feedback on the 'Spicy' version as well. Because as a big fan of anal and cock vore, I look forward to reading the Spicy version to enjoy my taste for the more alternative forms of vore since you can't really hide adult content with the above vore (As well as Unbirth for those that enjoy that too :) )
So it was also a bit of a let down to find that there was only 1 comic that contained cock vore, and 1 that contained anal vore.
Look I love Oral vore too, but it felt like the ratio of oral compared to the other 3 main types of vore (AV, CV, UB) was a bit off for the spicy version, especially when you have the mild version too which is purely Oral Vore.
I understand some OV out there has sexual content, but since this is a comic catoring to the vore fetish, the vore sorta comes first in my mind, so the Spicy version was a tad bit of a let down in the variety of vore types.
Once again though, that probably falls to me being an idiot and not seeing the ToC. So maybe posting it on FA as well as on the main website could help your potential consumers see it easier?
As far as constructive positive feedback, I did like the new tag system, it was nice that you included other content warnings besides just the vore types, like whether or not it was hard vore/soft vore, if there was digestion or fatality. That was nice.
I had no issues with purchasing the comic as well, that went very smooth for me. It downloaded smoothly and opened just fine. So that was another positive experience for me.
TL;DR: I must've missed the ToC preview, so was a bit let down by the lack of m/m as well as anal and cock vore content in the spicy version. But the art itself was all supurb and all the artists did a great job regardless.
Whether or not I'll purchase another magazine, I probably will, I'll just be on a better look out for the table of contents preview next time :)
While we are proud of our magazines (especially this new one), the abundant delays we faced with this release have revealed some problems in our production strategy that need to be addressed. One of the many circumstantial benefits this new strategy will have is an increased emphasis on variety for one or both books. Unfortunately we're still working out the theoretical bugs, so we can't reveal just what will be changing, but we can assure you that there will be more of a priority on content diversity for future releases.
I am glad to hear you guys have a strategy in the works for handling content diversity. Because that was really what I was hoping to be my main point in my feedback was it definitely felt like one type of content outweighed the others this time around (in this case F/F & F/M, and Oral Vore in the Spicy Version) which just didn't fit with my tastes this time around. But I will continue to support you guys none the less ^^.
