FAQ
Q: can i draw my bloom as a seedling?
A: of course! every bloom was a seedling at some point! just so long as you understand that you do not own a seedling, but a bloom. the only time i will be selling seedlings will be during mating season, in which they will become more abundant, since bloom's do not mate throughout the year.
Q: when is mating season for blooms?
A: spring and summer!
Q: will a seedling get older or will they be a seedling forever?
A: in canon, seedlings are considered babies until they become about five years of age. of course you don't have to wait FIVE YEARS to draw your seedling as a bloom that would be crazy lmao
Q: since blooms canonically grow up in bouquets and know each other, will seedlings know other seedlings too?
A: yes. seedlings know all. seedlings see all.
Q: in canon, how long might it take for a Queen to find a mate?
A: she may take as long as she needs! it could take years, it could take months, sometimes Queens fall in love quickly and sometimes they don't. (often times they don't)
Q: how come there aren't any "Kings"?
A: as of right now, there aren't...only queens...kings have not been discovered yet, but that is subject to change. for right now kings are made when Queens fall in love, their mate becomes a king. there isn't an actual, like...i can't think of the word...they aren't genetically made yet?? idk
Q: what makes a Queen a Queen?
A: Queens are born, they can be born to ANY pair of blooms but it is such a rare occurrence (1 for every thousand or so blooms born) that no one really knows how to "make" a Queen. what makes a Queen a Queen however, is the body, the crown bush, the size, and the pupils in a queen's eyes are always shaped like flowers!
Q: ok, so, say there's a bouquet, and there's already a queen running it, obviously...if another queen is born to a set of average blooms within the bouquet, will there be two queens in charge?
A: no. because the queen in charge of the bouquet is already matured and the seedling is just born, the current queen will remain in charge. now, because (as i stated above) mating season only occurs two seasons of every year, by the time the newborn Queen seedling is old enough to rule (approximately 10 years old) there will have already been SO MANY OTHER seedlings born by then that the bouquet is likely to split and make another colony, in which that queen will then run that colony...i hope that mad sense. it makes sense, i promise.
Q: how many blooms are typically in a bouquet?
A: an entire bouquet can range from about 10-50 blooms, however, 50 and even more than that can be a bit hard to manage for the queen!
Q: how does a bloom get separated from their bouquet?
A: blooms often get abandoned on their own, it can happen when they are seedlings and say, they just simply wander off without being seen, or a bloom could run away.
Q: twins. i want twin seedlings. can i have twin seedlings?
A: ah twins. yes. you can have twin seedlings, it will just be extra. it doesn't happen often so there will be a limit to how many twins a colony can have (which will probably be like, two or three)
Q: Queens give birth to royal seedlings, does that mean that their seedlings will grow up to be Queens as well?
A: because Queens are such a rarity and it is still quite unknown how they genetically occur, even in a Queen's case, it is still very unlikely that they will give birth to another Queen. A Queen's seedlings are royalty and will be expected to take the Queen's place after her passing because, sadly, Queens tend to have shorter lifespans than typical blooms and the likeliness of another Queen coming in to guide her colony is 1 in a million.
Q: how can i get a Queen?
A: Queens are only sold via auction! sometimes i may sell them in a batch of like, 3, but for the most part they'll be auction only!
