Moving, new job, new stage in life
Don't expect this to make one lick o' sense. I would hate to dash your dreams from your mind and throw them to the fishes in the lake. But, hey! That's what expectations do.
So in a couple of days - Saturday morning!!! - I make the move to Rock Hill, South Carolina. Moving in with my mate, which is a new experience. I've had house mates and flat mates, and one rather distant roomie in the dorms, but never truly lived with anyone so this is a huge step forward and change. I am looking forward to that.
Also starting a new job on Monday, worked for Kroger for over a year (14 months), SO happy to be leaving that hellhole and starting somewhere else. I'll miss some of my coworkers, but not the store and not the company and least of the job!
This also marks the farthest I have lived for any length of time from my family - who pretty much all live within an hour/hour-and-a-half of each other as well as myself. Tight knit family is hard to leave behind, I admit. But it is time to step out and make my own way, as my landlord put it. (Good guy. Smart.)
So...here's to new life. And to nerves!
