Amazing Wake Up Call

I had my alarm set for 6am, ready to wake up and get rolling on a nice easy job. But that isnt quite what happened. I slept really good last night, woke up around 3am, looked at my phone to check the time and went back to sleep. Them at about 5:30 I awoke to the gentle relaxing sound of a tornado siren. I went inside the truck stop to check the local weather report. The entire area was under a tornado watch but according to the news it was incredibly unlikely to have one, apparently whover sets off the sirens disagreed. So I pre-triped my truck and got rolling. Fun times, fun times.

I got out of the truck and into the building to check pretty fast, drug my heels a bit after that. Ended up leaving 15 minutes after I planned on. Not really in a hurry if there isnt anything to hurry over. No tornado but I still had to deal with rain, wind, lightning and worse of all stupid people driving in it. I would have felt better about it if I had been loaded more, the lighter we are the easier it is for us to slide (or get literally blown over by the wind). Sliding in the rig I drive is not fun.
