My (2015) policy regarding DMFA mature art

I figure I'd make a journal just for posterity sake of my general stance when it comes to mature artwork or folks asking about using DMFA characters for things. Granted this may change as life goes on, but as it stands when I make this journal this is my general feel about things.
The really short edition is: "MeEeEeeEEeeeEeeeeh...." followed by me rolling around on the ground in apathy.
The longer edition is this though.
I am a lazy apathetic slug-creature at best who doesn't want or care to spend time playing internet nanny and track down folks to shake my finger tsk tsk style at them. If someone is really hankering to get some mature art involving one or some of the DMFA characters, I'm not going to bring down Zeus' thunder cause ultimately I don't care all that much. The only times in which I will likely raise my head above the murky waters to breathe angry warbles at someone is if they do any of these things.
1: Take the characters and try to claim they are their characters.
2: Publish them in inappropriate places and don't properly tag/censor them.
3: Try to treat what they have gotten as some indicator of it being canon.
4: Folks do this to more personal characters or characters of mine that aren't in the comic. (I'd be more weirded out by folks drawing porn of the Ambaaargh or Mikelo than I would of Mab)
4b: Keep in mind that because when I started this comic, some of the characters were given to me by other folks and thus aren't fully my characters. In most cases the original owners have kind of vanished or are fairly mellow, but I generally try to veer away from things involving them just cause of courtesy Characters like Alexsi, Merlitz, Aaryanna, Pyroduck, and Wildy were originally friends characters who while I haven't heard from them in years (or in the case of Alexsi her original owner passed away so seeing mature art of her character would just be kind of creepy to me) they may still be about. So while I personally am in the MeEeEeeh mellow camp, there's always a chance they may not be. Where as characters like Chazore and Jakob or any character where you see a character name © their owner at the bottom of the page are cameos and thus don't belong to me at all.
If in doubt who belongs what, folks are free to ask. Honestly when I started the comic I was a doof in high school who didn't really think or know much about character ownership and copyrights so its just a wacky mess at points. But really, if you want to draw or get a pic drawn of Abel shaking some cock maracas or something, I'm not going to throw a fit. I don't got time to throw a fit over cock maracas people. LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR COCK MARACA FITS. >:U
Honestly if there is something that kind of annoys me, it is when folks go and get something that is very obviously catered to their interests done...and then they try to present it to me as a gift in the "hey I got art of your character. you like?" cause chances are, I don't like. I have had a few times where someone tried to present a picture they had gotten obviously for themselves but then tried to double it down as a gift art for me and its like...no guys. No. If you want to get something for yourself, I ain't gonna begrudge ya. But at least be honest that it is something that you got for yourselves that I'm likely so-so to meh about.
If folks really want to double-check to see if I'd be ok with something, that is fair. There are a few themes that kind of actually squick me out and I'd prefer if DMFA characters were not done in them. But really I also realize that the internet gonna internet and odds are there's very little I could do to stop someone if they really wanted to draw DMFA characters being tortured and mutilated. That said, I'd prefer it folks didn't. I honestly get more uncomfortable about themes of violence and suffering over things like tiddies and dongs.
If folks are really worried their idea is going to make me uncomfortable versus just my usual "eh"*shrug*, you guys are always free to note and ask or just ask in this journal. Really odds are the fact someone is asking versus just doing it generally gives me the impression they actually care about my feelings so I try to be easygoing when possible.
I hope that clears some things up and for the most part, I hope that folks find amusement and enjoyment. At the end of the day I just try to draw doofy comics and art for folks to enjoy and I like to hope that is what other folks out there are doing too.

I've been reading your comic since highschool. Like 8 or 9 years. I just naturally imagine them as hilarious goofballs who couldn't have sex because they'd just get into too many shenanigans. Like the one comic you drew of Dan and matilda.

Truth be, I find when folks actually try for something with a sense of humor that I'm a lot more amicable to ideas. Really I think half my meeeh about mature stuff is that its often so much serious business.
Unless I write fanfiction, that'll probably be the extent of my creative forays into your universe. =P I have my own stories to write, and I don't have time to cater to people's lurid fantasies. I'll contact you first if I write anything involving your universe or characters, if only to get some baseline rules for how to do things. I do like to be accurate when I write other people's characters.
...I'd like to write something more, but I'm tired and brain's skipping beats, so I think I shall retire to bed. Good night!
