Remember our trip to Wonderland last weekend? How could we forget!
So I have finally recovered after those seven gloriously mad days. This was my third time at Confuzzled, and my sixth convention overall. Some came to the West Midlands from hundreds or thousands of miles away. Others (like me) were somewhat closer. But we all came for one main reason: to celebrate our love for all things Furry. So then, let us venture back down the rabbit-hole for my final report on Confuzzled 2015.
Furs and Friends
What can I say? I know I’m fortunate to have met so many wonderful people these past five years. But honestly, this year, I was blown away by how friendly everyone was… literally everyone. Before I’d even got in the door on day one, people were chatting with me. And often, I barely walked five metres without someone greeting me. I am overwhelmed at how many amazing people I have met – and continue to meet! To everyone who spoke, fursuited, ate, drank, played games or simply hung out with me… please just keep being your amazing selves.

Security
Yes, you know the drill. For the fourth time, I donned my brassard, wired myself into the hive-mind, and resumed my duties keeping all you party-animals happy and safe. It made for a week of 6am bedtimes, caffeine trips, and German dispatcher-dogs barking in my ear… on what is essentially my holiday this year. Of course I’m mad for doing it. And of course I’ll do it all again next year.

I haven’t missed a single Eurovision since 2004, and this year, I was fortunate to join some other true fans.

bunnybrambles. Together, we cheered (and laughed) at this year’s entries, and also reminisced about Eurovision classics from years gone by. Thank you all: you are the true heroes of our time.
Possum-Con
So I’m fursuiting in the lobby the first night. All of a sudden, two other opossums appear. Now if you’re a fox, say, and there are fifty other foxes in the hotel, that may not seem remarkable. But when you’re a rarer species, it’s always a delight to meet your kin. And that night, I could scarcely imagine just how much of the super marsupials I’d see this year. They were everywhere: on notebooks, on fridge magnets, and of course in artwork (NB watch out for my future Dealers’ Den commissions). All in all, we had a reasonably sized passel of possums – at least five of us. Look forward to seeing you all again next year – just remember to stay off the roads.

Special Mention
And finally, but by no means least, huge thanks must go to
gamepopper, my room-mate for the third year running. Despite all the disruptions, miscommunications and late nights, we stuck together and looked out for each other. A true friend indeed. And yes, I will be bringing more Poppets for Popper next year.
Next year
So, next year… yes I’m already making plans. We know the theme is ‘Carnival of the Night’, when we animals will reconvene for the dark masquerade. Costumes, dances… already the plans are developing in our minds. But until then, or at least until the next furmeet - farewell my friends.

As you were one of the many staff a huge thank you to you and your fellows. Without the time you guys put in it be way less organised and way less enjoyable, ive seen professional production companies way less organised and... professional.
Also it was awesome to see Delph dance! So dark and twisted it worked really well, hope they make another appearance for 2016!
