NEWS: Got a Job! Moving to San Francisco.
As of a few hours ago, I have accepted a job as a Technical Writer in San Francisco! I'm ecstatic to have found work at a great startup and I'm looking forward to beginning work. Good job, good money, and a good city to be in for a techie (albeit very pricey). I expect to move in mid- to late July, but I will still be at Anthrocon.
This has been a long time coming and nearly anyone I've spent time with in the last few years has listened to my stories of how difficult times have been, so this is an amazing event. Financial problems and professional stagnation have been the norm since my Italy plans fell through. Things are finally on the upswing.
Thanks, everyone, for all of your support. I hope that my future achievements will justify the faith in me that you have all expressed so generously. Friends are truly precious things.
Onward and upward!

No bad time lasts forever, and you cycled out of the low end and into the high spot!! YOU DESERVE THIS!!!!! I cannot express how happy I am for you- THE BIGGEST MAZAL TOV TO YOU KIND SIR!!
So happy you are excited for your job! Just... so much yay!
My new home shall have stables reserved just for your visits. ~__^
Now if only I can get a job that actually pays all of the bills
MANY Happy Smiles over here at Casa del Tribble.. Sad to know you'll be cross country now, but VERY pleased for you!
See you next month. :)
Uhm... wait a minute. That sounds a little too familiar....
The SFBA is a great placeto live.
And now I can say...see you at FC!
You will now be able to re-build your savings again. And once you've accumulated sufficient savings, you can indulge in some of the more finer things in life, like artwork and furcons. :>
Being in San Francisco, I know it'll be more expensive to attend some of the East Coast cons like Furnal Equinox. I will definitely miss your presence at FE if you are unable to attend. (Although I look forward to crossing paths with you again at another mutual furry convention. Maybe MFF is a possibility for 2015. :> )
All the best in the move to San Francisco and in your position.
I am so happy and so proud of you! *tightly-squeezing baldie iggle winged snuggles!*
I will still do my best to make it to the east coast cons. My new employer has a rather generous vacation policy, so assuming circumstances allow, I will try to get away. Most of my friends are in this part of the continent, so I think I'd get pretty depressed if I had to totally leave them behind! Money has been so tight the last few years, the irony is that I may end up seeing people around here more often after I move west. I'm hoping to return to MFF after a 5-year hiatus. We shall see!
Thank you again for all of your encouragement. You're really something special!
You better be at AC, I already made reservations at your favorite restaurant. ;) (j/k)
Thank you for all your encouragement. I look forward to sharing lots of good news going forward. See you in a few weeks!
