Any St. Louis furs out there?

I'm gonna be spending a few months or so visiting family in the greater St. Louis area, and it would be really cool to make some friends while I'm here! If you or anyone you know is local and would like to hang out sometime, holler at me!
In other news, I'm steadily working through commissions from Everfree NW / bead badges for people who have noted me privately. Once I've finished everything in my queue, I'll be opening more commission slots via journal -- hopefully within the next week.
I'll also be making an effort to upload digital sketches (to scraps) more often. I'm beginning to feel more confident about my lineart, and I really want to just run with it and see what I'm capable of accomplishing! Practice is an essential component of improving any skill, and I've admittedly been slacking a bit when it comes to using my tablet. I often get discouraged by how long it takes me to feel "finished" with a piece of art, and I'm trying to get more comfortable with the idea of producing "rougher" drawings more frequently (if that makes sense). I value feedback from you guys, so please feel free to share your impressions -- even if they're bad! Everything helps. (:

Do you meet with other furries often? I hail from Seattle, so I have no idea what the community is like here.
outside of cons not much just cause I'm really shy, but there are a few upcoming meets I believe :> I may try to make some of them
June 6th there's a meet up at the St. Louis zoo, which has free admission. great zoo and you can catch a sneak peak at their new polar bear exhibit, I think it's actually opening that day or a few days after!
June 7th there's a meet up at the Ren Faire in wentzville, I believe it's $15 admission and oh man it's so much fun <3 food, costumes, performers, shops, shows, there's just so much
it's been really rainy this week so if it stops both these events should be fairy cool temperature wise
there's also lazer tag and a water gun meet I think next week

but other than her everyone is so sweet, clawshawt is a super sweetie <3 there's so many in this area tbh I'm sure you'd be able to meet more!
and ah gotcha, well there's a bowling meet coming up on the 26th of that's more in your time range, there's a lotta things planned out :>
