I dunno if it will help but sometimes ill watch speed paint/drawing on youtube and it makes me wanna draw

I have this problem a lot and there's no surefire way around it. Personally, if I'm working on a commission and feeling really uninspired, It helps me to switch tracks and work on something just for me that makes me happy! Maybe you just need to find that thing that works for you?

so when i just hit a wall with my art i had to like...start from the beginning. i started doing sketches every day at work. no matter if i felt like it or not. some days i got 12 page done a day. it has advanced my art so much farther forward and really started to bring out my personal style.

unfortunately the only cure for art block seems to be powering through it :/

What if you tried something really loose, like going abstract? Perhaps you need a different kind of 'canvas' to experiment on, and abstract art can help with that.

There are also some kinds of game that help with getting creativity going, like building games.

They say boredom can lead to a more active imagination.

All I ever do is wait it out, for me the phases where I'm really itching to draw something are way worse.

Probably not the best advice but I push myself through it. I atleast doodle daily even if it's just anatomy study's I always do something artsy. Also I sometimes switch to traditional for a few days the back to digital that sometimes helps!

Me? I play video games or watch animated stuff. It kinda helps. I really should do the daily drawing thing though.

It works differently for everyone, but in my case, I've found that straight-up taking a break seems to help the most. ^^; It feels wrong, but I guess maybe it's my brain's way of telling me to give it a rest for a while?
(Looking at idea generators is also fun though! I don't often immediately draw anything off of them, but I'll bookmark a few favorites for future reference. I also have a folder where I collect idea generators, so I can totally toss a few at ya if you're curious :V )

But it's pretty cool if you like to work off of abstract shape & color combinations to create characters.

Just a fun & simple way to spit out some random character designs to riff on. ^^

the site Seventh Sanctum also has a nice selection of idea generators! But I think that one is a little more well known, so you may have heard of it.

In general, I also like to find doll makers that have randomize buttons. Sometimes I like to tinker around with designs that get spit out of those ^^; Or even customize something myself & then improve it to my liking in a redraw.

Go out and do something you haven't done before, preferably that exposes you to something inspirational. Like, go to an art museum or on a walk through the woods or roller blading.

I find that when I am not out doing things I have nothing to write about and I just kinda don't.
