I like the first and third ideas actually. Not bad :3 especially the first. I think everyone who wants a fursuit should be certified in a proper fursuit cleaning and brushing course before getting one haha

the second one i was thinking more as a "get healthier" thing as well as a out of suit conditioning, because suits are heavy, and you got to be fit to wear them. it could be a 30 week training, Fun, Work your tail off, fun.

Nice ideas, although fursuit cleaning and repair should be a required class for any of the boot camps. I host such a panel at Fangcon.
I'm wanting to talk to the folks at MFM and see if they would like me to host it there, too.

i mean imagine not just being able to stand the heat of a fursuit, but than go the extra mile of a like 30 pound back pack (work up to that of course). imagine a fandom (any fandom), that would be able to defend a country while in suit. i know there are people out there that do target practice while in suit.
I have never been around a smelly fursuiter (haven't been around many fursuiters), but if you smell like skunk and you look like a wolf, there is something wrong.

I've done events in fursuit in 85 degree heat (farenheit, not celcius)
The key is to fursuit intelligently, don't suit for too long each time, take breaks often and stay hydrated.
I've been around smelly fursuiters. It's not pleasant, especially when you have a muzzle fan blowing all that stink into your fursuit head..

well you also have to condition your self to suit in that high of heat. i mean a beginner suiter will probably last five minutes, but a seasoned veteran maybe an hour, just got to be creative how you fit in hours to wear the suit, so you can get used to it, but once you get use to it how do you further the conditioning/exercising. you begin adding weight. When you remove the weight you will feel lighter. So that's why option three would be fursuiters only, like with a year or two under their belt, so that you didn't have to coddle the new suiters. The other reason veteran suiter know their limits, new suiters are still finding them.

~nose twitches~ there is another reason i want to avoid airbrushing on suits, if you can't wash it, well that area will begin to stink. sure air brushing is nice, but in all sense it is just temporary. so pay the extra to get it stitched in, so you can actually clean your suit.
