going back over my sketches i did in stream on my desktop, i'm starting to notice they look really thin and stretched out -bad-
does anyone know how to fix the settings on my TV so that i can get colors/length/width actually accurate? cause i'm super apalled by how some of these sketches came out and i'm really honestly thinking of redoing some of the art that came out stretched or just.... ugh.
.n.
like i've been on my laptop for a few days in a row cause we're rewatching Supernatural in the living room, so i've been working on that Dragon Age commission in the living room so i can watch TV too...
and i'm noticing a lot of ick from my desktop art that's really starting to upset me.
I don't want my desktop to affect my art quality, cause that's just bad business.
halp?

but yeh, i will go through the steps when Rae gets back up from the napping, don't want to disturb right this second.
Yea, naps should not be disturbed lest you face the sleeping Raes wrath XD
OS is Win 7
what sort of screenshots would you need? cause i can show you how long the art looks by linking you to one of my submissions x'D http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16681596/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16681748/ and this one is super thin.
not sure about my tablet or my phone but i can definitely go check.
For the colors, does your TV have a color/gamma correction option enabled?
and i'll check my resolutions again to make sure everything is okay T3T; just a matter of getting up and going in there now.
-fizzledie-
i'm so mad though ;n; i am seriously debating doing at least one of those sketches over cause it's just -awful- and i need to fix it or i'll feel like trash. xD;
Your TV might also have overscan enabled, which zooms in slightly on the image to crop out the edges. This is fine for TV - all the content is placed to respect this - but it causes the edges of your desktop to get cut off. I don't think that'd cause significant stretching, though.
(would i have to use my TV remote for that or can i do that with the computer?)
If your laptop is outputting at 1366x768, then you'll want to have the TV on a 16:9 aspect ratio.

and the laptop has been fine, my desktop was the one fighting me with the TV XD -shakes a fish at it-
gonna go do some testing to see if i did this right *3*
You'll probably want to put the TV in "game" mode, by the way. Otherwise, the TV will have a a bit of latency, which could be confusing.
