The last scanner I had was 8 years old. ( I havn't gotten a new one so know nothing about them. )

3 monthes ago, I celebrated it's death by taking it out to the local baseball feild and letting the team have batting practice XD!

I use a All in one printer called a HP Photoshop C4200

I wouldnt know much of the kind of scanner and printers, but i can do research and find out^^

I use an espon perfection 3590 photo, but i have had alot of trouble with the software lately, so i have resorted to using the built in windows app.

if you can find it anymore since they dont make them, i suggest the HP Scanjet 4670 see-thru vertical scanner dude

will this scan 9x12 edge to edge??

even if it doesnt you can place the scanner over sections of the picture then have PS auto line everything up.. win-win no matter how you see it.. even if you draw on a poster size project later

I use a Visioneer OneTouch. They don't make em anymore, and it's only barely a USB scanner :P I really need to get a new one myself, but I just can't afford it xD

i use a lexmark all in one since 2003... old as well... jee... 9*12 is roughly letter size? most universal scanners accept many formats

I personally use a three years old LIDE Canoscan scanner but it's made for 8 1/2 X 11 paper.

I know there was a more expensive model that could do 9X12 , so you might wanna go that way.
Canon scanners are the best ^^

I'd recommend my brother all-in-one, but it's shit -_- Most of the scanner I see at school are Canon, so I'd g with that. Good luck with the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE gauntlet run that is electronics shopping :P

I have no idea what would be a good scanner, but, sucks that yours went to crap.

Most of my work doesn't need scanner, so I dunno.

However, I do have a Lexmark Three-in-One that does scanning and copying a good thing.

I bought a canon mp480 printer,scanner,copier at walmart for 80 bucks and it works fantastic so far.

I also draw on 9x12 paper but the only scanners I could still find that would accommodate larger paper sizes were really expensive and started at over 300 bucks.

so with the price difference i just decided to draw on smaller paper :P

hmmm i use an Epson Perfection 3490 Photoscanner, works wonders

currently a hp psc 1300 series.

misses my visioneer 9800 in storage :(
