Crunchy Numbers Survey Results, part of a balanced breakfast

General
Recently I posted a survey and after analyzing the data, I wanted to report some findings! Without access to a stats program, all I can give are vote totals and percentages, but this is good enough. 28 people took the survey. A few extra people merely answered the first question before bailing, but those don't count because I deleted them. (If you didn't vote on the survey, your feedback is welcome, I just won't update this post here)
While few respondents clicked the link I posted to Sofurry, 50% would prefer to read stories on SF, compared to the 30% who would read on FA. I also had two votes for Weasyl and a few "get your own site". On to the good stuff.
Kinks
The kinks I asked about are related to stories I'm likely to write in the future, and I was curious which would be more popular/which I should get to sooner. Note that the kinks I asked about aren't the big ones for me - clothing, dirty talk, semen play, assertive females - those are almost always present, that's just what you get when you read my stuff.
The most popular was BDSM (8 Very Hot, 8 Hot, and 5 Sorta), which barely squeaked past Public Sex (5 VH, 9 H, 8 Sorta), and Gay (4 VH, 10 H, 5 S). Cheating came in right behind those, as did Incest (which surprised me).
The least popular items, voted "Not Interested", were Shemales (13 votes, or 52%), Humiliation (12 - 48%), and Cheating (8 - 32%). And "this is wrong, I'm judging" you option got a few hits: Humiliation (1), Incest (2), Teenagers (2), and Shemales (2). I can only assume the last one received any marks because the word shemale is offensive?
Serial Interest
I also pitched a number of ideas for multiple-chapter stories, to see which would interest readers more.
When it came to "I want to read this right now", the Mothers Confessing Incest stories got a whopping 7 votes (28%). Both "Sounds Interesting" and "Nope, pass" received 9 votes apiece, and 0 "It'd have to wow me". Pretty divisive.
When we look at what received the most "Sounds Interesting" votes, it went to the comedy about the porn troupe (14 votes, or 56%), a 13-vote (54%) tie between the Controversial Pornstar tale and a second chapter of Extra Corricular Activies, and finally the sexual Office Space setup (12 - 50%). That last one I shouldn't have used Office Space, the original concept was more like a sexy soap opera set in an office.
Paying the Author
In terms of sending cash my way, 48% are down with an ebook, 44% are cool with a patreon, and 38% accept a donate button. Good news, the donate button is up now, and I will be putting out an ebook (and print) collection probably in January. A patreon likely will happen, it's a matter of when. Finally 3 people said they would commission me. Whoever said that, send me a note. I'm curious!
It's exciting seeing these responses and where my readers are. I'm also reassured I'm on the right track, the stories in the pipeline will mostly garner interest. I still plan to write most of these, but now have a good idea where to focus and when. However things may not work out exactly like this - some kinks with negative votes are tied to some series with lots of interest, so that may not shake out very well.
By the way, for those interested in BDSM, good news. Two BDSM anthologies are coming later this year. Stay tuned for more information, as well as two bonus BDSM stories I'll be writing to coincide with the releases.

FA+

I think the problem with 'Shemale' is that they are neither fish nor fowl. Basically, they don't have the bits to interest a straight guy, and they have bits up top that tend to distract a gay guy, and most of the readers are, traditionally, male. You probably also had a holy-roller trolling you in there somewhere, just to tell you how much he dislikes the idea, even as he reads every word.
I like the idea of an office setting. I wrote a few short stories in what I am still hesitant to call a 'series' called 'Customer Service', which were in workplace settings. They were written in the same tone as most adult magazine articles, to both lend it an air of verisimilitude and just to try a different way of writing a scene.
I like office settings a lot too (women in business-wear are hot), and while i may not do the office drama (or do it much later), several stories coming up either are in offices or are service related in some way. I'm creating a setting where sex is very casual and open, which will facilitate public sexytimes, and I'm tying quite a few unrelated stories to this location.
