That's not a bad idea, if you want to preserve your characters in the image you imagined.

If you can manage two accounts, go for it. Seems like a bit of trouble to me, really. Though to be fair, it might benefit you to have a SFW/general account and this one. But that's my thoughts, mate.

I've seen people do 3 things:
Some don't care as they would rather have 1 gallery than 2+, and admittedly most non-nsfw stuff on here and dA gets little attention (unless the person is something like super-good at digital painting while taking mostly-SFW commissions, like http://yilx.deviantart.com/gallery/ )
Some have a second account for the NSFW stuff, either linked or unlinked.
Some have NSFW in scraps with a notice for it.

If you want a gallery that's more akin to a portfolio, then it's probably best to have it on it's own thing and not something like FA or deviantArt, as the latter has a reputation and the former is probably not really something you'd want to show people you know IRL or employers anyway. https://www.artstation.com/ might be an option (if it sticks around) as it has more of a "professional" look.

Well, by 'keeping my portfolio' around I kinda meant keeping these porny things so people can commission me for more porny things :o

Ah, I meant to keep your FA your FA, and have your non-porny stuff on a non-porny "professional" or other account.
