I don't know how quickly FA handles harassment tickets, so if it's the same guy harassing you several times I'd recommend blocking.

Best way to deal with it is to grow a thicker skin, tbh. If you're a brony or draw pony art in a vaguely MLP style, you're going to field a LOT of shit. Take it in stride and they can't knock you down.

You could sure try. There are a few ways to do it. The best way is to become a little egotistical - try to maintain a solidly positive self-image.

Second is to realize they're not always attacking you, they're attacking something they don't like, which produces secondary targets. In this metaphor, they don't like MLP, so they attack MLP art or MLP fans. It's a twist on the "it's not you, it's me" logic.

The one that most artists are fond of is to become angry rather than sad. Get into the "I'll show them" mindset. Write a better story, make a better picture, use their negative energy to pump yourself up and prove them wrong.

One that artists specifically on FA use a lot is selective listening. Not everyone will enjoy your art, but you can't accommodate everyone. If you did, you'd be giving them generic art instead of doing something you're good at. Over time you'll learn to pass over the negativity and you won't even register it.

I've recently seen a lot of people getting hate mail for... really stupid things. One person was told their prices are ruining the fandom. You just have to... recognise that these are entitled assholes who think that everything is supposed to cater to them.... and laugh that they think the world revolves around them. It doesn't. You draw what you want for YOU. Unless it's a commission at which point you draw what you want for OTHERS when they PAY YOU ;)
