Foxes are the most common species in the furry fandom. I've got two or three vulpine characters myself.

Of course they'll be popular in any sub-group.

From a surveys I've seen it's wolves not foxes the most common, actually. And I think cats weren't a long shot from the number of foxes in those surveys

no not really. Multifurry is not about limb count, it's about supernumerary body appendages. In a normal dragon you have 2 legs, 2 arms and 2 wings. It's normal for a character to have any of those in isolation, so it's not multifurry. However if the dragon is 4-armed it does count.

Foxes look cute with extra arms, that probably helps.

Also, foxes have a reputation as tricksters, and having extra arms would help a con artist with slight of hand. :P
