life updates and commissions by justjim!

hey everyone! it's been a rough couple of weeks for me, so i haven't been around much. i thought i'd pop in and update with what's been going on.
first of all, i saw a doctor about some concerning stomach troubles i'd been having for over a year, which led to me having a colonoscopy last weekend and two pre-cancerous colon polyps being discovered and removed. i'm only 24 years old, so it was pretty shocking to have the doctor tell me in four more years i would have had full-blown colon cancer. i haven't gotten the biopsy results back, but the doctor seemed pretty confident that we'd caught things in time.
oh, when they took my blood pressure at the GI's office, it was high. astronomically high. 154/112 high, which is almost a medical emergency apparently. doctors have been on me about my blood pressure lately, and now i'm on medication for it. i'm not sure how much of that is due to anxiety, though, but it's something i'm fretting over all the time now. hoorayyyy!
second, with the help of my wonderful husband, i finally managed to get an appointment with a general surgeon about my breast. that's tomorrow, and i'm exceedingly nervous about it, as you can imagine after six months of suffering. what if he brushes me off? what if he can't figure out what's wrong? what if he thinks it's something serious? all this worrying isn't helping my blood pressure. i think i can actually feeling it rising right now. anyway, wish me luck about that!
justjim is going back to new york for a week on monday to spend some time with family and such, and i'm not able to go since i have pets with medical conditions and other responsibilities here. it'll be the first time we've been apart in over a year, and i'm really stressed out about it! especially with all these health problems! we're having trouble affording all these doctors bills as well as my health insurance, and we really don't have the funds for him to travel back to new york right now, but he promised his family he'd be back in time for his cousin's high school graduation/his mom's birthday ages ago.. they miss him a lot! he's still open for commissions if anyone is interested!
wow, my nerves are frazzled after writing this haha. stress stress stressssss. but it's okay. we'll find a way through it. we always do.
thanks for reading all that if you did! i still can't say enough how much i appreciate your support!

That's also a close call about the polyps! I had a colonoscopy once a couple years ago. No polyps for me... Just a diagnosis of IBS. XD (sorry if that's TMI) I also felt sick for an entire day afterwards D: bleh.
i'm glad you didn't have any polyps! that's not TMI at all, but as a fellow IBS-sufferer, i know how much of a pain in the rear it can be :c pun intended, ahhah. and yeah, the day before and the day after the procedure are a nightmare! i'm not looking forward to the next one xD
