A short note to non-furry advertisers on FA
10 years ago
Rule 1 to advertising: know your audience.
Rule 2: advertise appropriate to said audience.
To fix your ads, do 1 of the following:
A) dress your "milfs" and "Cougars" in well made artistic animal costumes.
B) ditch the real life images and stick to cartoon animal drawings
C) hire real and experienced furry writers, actors, fursuiters and artists to create better advertising content.
here's 3 things that will ensure your ads have little to zero impact on furry websites.
A tried and true "business killer", if you will.
I) normal non-animal human photos and art (unless said have some SERIOUS artistic value... But then they're go for several mill in New York at art auction, so why bother with the adverts)
II) use cheep, ugly, Halloween/fancy dress, generic, mascot animal costumes. I mean seriously, that's always a huge insult. If you can buy it on a Halloween costume website or get it from China for less than $400, stop there and just don't do it. Have the decency to hire one of the MANY costume makers and character designers in our fandom. Reach us by using us.
III) continue to be cold heartless scammers/scalpers and do zero market research on furries, expecting us to be technology illiterate and easily gullible like the rest of your mindless average American click bait targets.

FA+

I've never seen any "official" adult add from outside the fandom that is targeted to furries specifically.
Let's see if next year will change that hehe.
Oh and i use Adblock.
One can only hope :3
I haven't really had a need for adblock yet. I don't really go to many pop-up malware based sites. And if FA does start getting popups and audio ads, I'll simply no longer come to FA. Makes me think about just booting up my inkbunny to start its production with more seriousness.
I've been thinking of rebooting my adult toy reviews, my first try got some good feedback... But the question is: Since I'm using my fuzzyroo youtube channel for something else, would people be willing to watch a new channel?
Maybe its USA only problem or maybe Ive just been lucky?
