R.I.P. Doug Winger
Everyone else is sharing their thoughts about this great man, so I need to as well..
When I first started in the fandom, I saw other furry artists and artwork on tha net, but one really caught my eye and that was Doug Winger's art. His art was just breath takin' for me, I've never seen anything like his back then. Pandora, Pup, Alta and all his other chars he made and he loved drawing herms it seemed, which I completely love!~ Over tha years, I think his artwork is what inspired me to keep goin' and never stop drawing. I never met him, but I feel like he was a mentor to me because of how old I was when I first saw his art, which was around 15 or 16 maybe.
The artists of today should really take lessons from Doug because to me he was the best there is, tha best there was and tha best there ever will be! This man was great at what he does. I've only known him for his artwork, but with his skills at drawing I can tell he was good at other things too. Tha artists of tha 90s were tha greats and should be called Furry Art Legends. I learned from them.
I think right now, he still tops some of tha other artists of today, even myself, especially myself. He truly was and is "The Furry Godfather", R.I.P. Doug Winger, you will be greatly missed.. v.v
