Well it depends on what you mean. Entirely, or as a primary media source.

Entirely, probably another 200 years. Many people still use VHS. Some even still use BETA. And cassetts/vinyl records are still used.

As a primary media source, they are already pretty much gone. Computing wise USB driven devices have outplaced optical systems. Many laptops now dont even have a optical drive standard for the last 4-6 years.

And as a high output optical media source, it is nearly gone. Blu-ray can hold much more information. Which will be needed with more and more information needing to be placed.

The only thing that keeps it holding is that it is a cheap re-writable optical source. It will keep it viable for a few more years, but I say less than 5.
