Appreciation is defined as showing gratitude and thanks. If somebody does something nice for you, it's only right that you at least thank them or even better do something in return, right? Nope, not in my case. I can do everything for someone, bend over backwards, jump through hoops, do the Charleston on top of a flagpole for someone, but the moment I try to do something for myself I'm suddenly a selfish asshole.
What's up with that? It's enough for me to throw my arms in the air and scream "Screw it!" and be that selfish asshole I'm painted to be. If the shoe fits, wear it.

Some people just everything handed to them with minimal effort and nothing to be said. It's the kind guys like us who get the short end of the stick and get the finger pointed at but it's what ever for in my eye because it's the good guys like who reap the largest rewards later.
