No, I'm not going to write, "Furst" fuck you.
Finally caught up on watching Terminator: Genisys and Jurassic World. Decent reboots each one. Both had a huge pothole here and there. I think I liked TG more then JW.
TG: Took a huge steaming dump on the previous movies with the new timeline. But I liked it. This is Arnuld in top form. The kind of terminator we want him to be. The T-800, nothing beats a classic. Not the T-850 like in T3 where he was just a cold asshole to a whiny John Connor.
I didn't like the casting choices for Connor or Reese. But Reese eventually grew on me. And I liked the new dynamic of instead of it being a father son thing a daddy daughter thing. Pretty much forcing it to be Sarah is the new John. The new chick, she's alright, but she didn't get to do much character development. I found Kyle a more interesting character than Sarah. I was hoping for it to be all taking place in 1984. But no, modern day. And I'm totally right again how the only thing that really changes in reboots is the cell phone models used in the movies.
I did like the chase scenes, they were very good. And with all the digital stunts Arny never looked out of place flopping around going through walls. Although I am growing wary of seeing people smashed through walls. And time travel everywhere, so much Dr.Who showed up! Wow, Matt smith sounds so... emasculated with an american accent. I guess with movie stars going to the small screen the made for TV actors have to fill in for them.
Jurassic World. It was good. I am growing tired of the "The military needs a superweapon!" plot device. And the Imdaonius Rex was scary but it seems like every dinosour with sharp teeth has only two emotions, psycho and hungry. Seriously, they are aggressive 24/7. Even great white sharks have a cool down/chill time where they aren't trying to kill everything that moves. I mean I get it, they're dangerous. But we don't need to see a tiger constantly eating to know it's wild.
I like the whole busy business woman loves business and passes off her family for business. I didn't get it when the park owner got mad at the scientist for... Doing his Job! I mean, everyone wanted bigger, deadlier, and they got it. In that debate I was totally on the scientist's side in the argument. They've been filling in blank spots since the beginning, that's was made the shit storm in the first one. But instead of gender swapping dinofrogs we have Predator... predators.
And another thing, the fucking raptors. Aside from being pissed off non-stop. How they just switch sides so fluidly just didn't sit well with me. Even the most trained dog or whatever isn't gong to switch sides once it sees a bigger whatever. I mean, yeah, they chatted, but as animals Indominuus Rex could have asserted her dominance more realistically than talking the Raptors to her side. At least fight first, or hump!
And the Dominus grew up in captivity, it shouldn't be that resourceful a killer. I get instincts and shit. Being bigger and teethy-er. Doesn't mean you'll win every fight. It's like, "Oh I love fight and killing, I Love Love LOOOVE IT!" Sometimes, I'm like, oh that's Bull shit!
And watching Kingpin and Starlord arguing stuff is cute. I guess Universal is catching Marvel droppings. I love Bryce Dallas Howard but this one, she was just there. And Starlord is just more of the same. But I liked it. I thought I wouldn't like the kids but they're believable as kids to me.
