It's quite an odd fantasy, and a bit surreal, but try Stephen King's "The Gunslinger", which is the first book in his "Dark Tower" series. I just finished it and thought it was decent. Kind of a mix between post-apocalyptic and fantasy fiction.
Basic summary: A guy who's only name is "the gunslinger" is chasing a "man in black", a powerful sorcerer, across a post-apocalyptic world. Why? Because reasons. I still really don't entirely understand myself. It's hard to describe without spoilers.

I'd recommend the WoW books (I read once one of them, and I actually loved it quiete a bit, were some giggle parts in too).
