What would you guys think of MCMMO? I'm starting to think Minecraft is getting a bit tiresome in Vanilla mode.
What do you guys think?
MCMMO: MCMMNO or MCMMYES?

Any other plugin ideas?
Anyway.

I have no idea what your code words are. *Explodes*
Edit: Oh, I see what you did there! MCMMO is fine by me! It does help with material gathering because of the special right-click abilities added!
Instead of typing in a command, you build a 'rune', a magical pattern of specific blocks in specific places, which then does something when you activate it. From digging mineshafts to turning whole landscapes upside down, from airships to freezing certain places. Teleporters, special tools, capturing mobs in eggs and cursing other players, all without a single command.
It's an utter delight.
Additionally, from my own experience, McMMO tends to have people log in to "grind" as opposed to actually progressing/building in game.
However, adding the plugin is up to how you wish people to use the server. McMMO does not add any social benefit to the game above the leaderboards. Also it makes people "attached" to the plugin and makes you anchored to maintaining the plugin on the server or maintaining the server as is. McMMO also makes the game a tab bit easier and if you're looking for a more challenging experience the plugin will not help you on that quest.
If you're running a survival server, I would make decisions on what behavior you wish players to take part in. As it is with Minecraft survival servers, there tends to be players who have reached endgame and others who do not. As a means to maintain a player base, there needs to be some drive to play actual Minecraft instead of grinding in hours. I would suggest having community events, or maybe even mix up how Minecraft is played by introducing a PvP aspect with a Factions/Clans plugin (Towny is another possibility, less competative). Possibly implement Mob Arenas and have players build the arenas in survival.
Given if you do have a PvP aspect, you be forced to remove the creative-survival building aspect.
Also if you do add a shop plugin, make sure it has a InventoryGUI and is a global market as opposed to an individual shop. Additionally if you add currency, make sure there are drains and pumps for the economy you can use. Pumps are server mechanics that add to the economy and drains are the reverse. Pumps and drains should not come from any ItemStack transacts unless between players. A good drain example would be paying for build-protection or paying for teleports. This will ensure demand for the currency.
Also if you're going to run any plugin, I would suggest runnng the MorePlayerModels2 Bukkit plugin to allow compatability for those who have the plugin:
Plugin: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugin.....-lie-anywhere/
Client Mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forum.....acter-creation
As for a modded server, I would suggest it to be parallel to a spigot server.

..I could mention most magic-based mods to add.. needs some effort before making the game easy.. and are a good theme.. (unless the server theme is hi-tech)
