My only advice would be to seek someone physical, as in not over the Internet the whole master/slave thing is more than just RP, to most who participate it's damn near a way of life.

If this advice is useless to you I'm sorry but it's the best advice I could come up with having a long time experience with this subject.

I have bad trust issues, which in return gives me bad social anxiety around people I don't know.

So it's been hard to connect with people. I feel like if I got one my social anxiety would calm down a bit.

not necessarily to meet someone there, but you can find events/munches near you so that you can go out and meet people. My biggest issue is people who say they are dominant when in reality, they are not.

Yeah, I can see that. But honestly, most of the people off fetlife are pretty chill. There's a lot of them that are open to newcomers and being mentors/teaching.
