New Horizon's Pluto Flyby - amazing image

With 99% of the data still needing to be received from the spacecraft, what we have so far is quite exciting.

Until today, the image on the left is the best we ever had of Pluto. Now, after 9 years in space, the New Horizons craft has returned the image on the right.

I've always wondered what poor little pluto actually looked like. We condemned it to dwarf status without even really seeing it ;D

It's truly astounding that we are able to get anywhere near Pluto with such accuracy! The photos have been increasingly awesome! Can't wait to see what New Horizons sends back today! :3
