Farewell Iwata-san
Normally I don't really pay much attention to gaming news because I really don't get interested by most of the companies, but with Nintendo, I've always been a fan, since I first got my GBC and played Pokemon I've loved Nintendo. I may have not always liked some of Nintendo's decisions, I always remained loyal to the franchises and what they did for the players and the fans. After Iwata's passing I decided to look at what he was involved with, and I noticed, that with his games I found that it did make up part of my childhood, and most of all his involvement of Gold and Silver, my favorite of the original Game Boy era Pokemon games. Those two games introduced me to what was one of my childhood games that made me love Pokemon, it introduced me to my two favorites of that region (Typhlosion and Umbreon). In a way, Iwata is the reason that I am who I am today. As one who is very familiar with the loss of loved ones to the painful struggle of cancer, this one particularly hit me very hard, like a part of me died with him, as I assume that many feel as well. So I say that this is not a goodbye, but a farewell for now, and in his honor, we continue as a Nintendo community, continue as fans of these franchises and we keep gaming. We honor him as one of us with the way we know how, keep on gaming everyone.
