You could put some money aside from work. That will accumulate over time and would definitely help cover some of the costs. A gofundme might also help some too. People are generous to help with those things. Other than that, maybe take on some commissions to raise money.

that's the thing though, after bills and all of that...I'm scraping by...I mean I guess I could try to take a second job for a year...I'll have no time at all but I can at least get money saved so I can do it...I have a lot to think about though, that's for sure

A second job might not be a bad idea, and a higher paying job is better. Definitely go look into the job market.

Work hard and do it on your own. Asking for money only dilutes the value of the effort you put toward it yourself. Don't rely on others to make your dreams come true, you're the only one who should have anything to do with that.

Well... Im about to be in a similar situation, my mate is in another country too and I plan to move with him. So he's been selling stuff (youd need to get rid of things to move anyways right?) and Im going to as well, and I plan to do a fundraiser kinda deal..but then again I do art.

do you have any hobbies or skills at ALL? even more tangible RL things... cooking.. craft of some sort.. etc. Look into something like that, something to create or learn that you could do and sell to get funded through.

make an online cook book, or some tutorial help on something...anything.. ..auction items off on here??

and as for stuff, just sit down or look around your house. Ask yourself "Can I get this over there?" "is this shippable?" "do I even care that much about this?" "can I live without it?" "what use, or meaning does this have for me?"

and then yardsale the junk, and auction the good stuff online here. ^-^

Well the go fund me is a valid option, but will only work if you don't feel guilty doing it. I would mind sending some cash your way as I can <3 Just more sad to lose you out of country as I've friends in other regions and texting costs to much to fully keep in touch :c Artists are up to who is alright doing it, it never hurts to ask. A second job will do it it but as long as you don't lose your mind doing it x.x but just try to save every bit you can get toward your goal.
