I'm definitely going to go and see this movie when it's released here, because I am a long time fan of the DragonBall franchise and extremely susceptible to nostalgia.

HOWEVER.

I am annoyed by the casting and the changes to the concept. I really, really wanted this movie to be more faithful to the anime. It's one of the first animes I ever watched and the one that really drew me into anime in general. And they've gone and turned Goku into the "loser at school who is actually secretly a martial arts expert" that all the real losers at school wish they were, and made him all weedy and small. I mean, from the trailers, it looks like the fight scenes should still be awesome... but yeah. Goku :(

Anyway, I don't know. I probably shouldn't pass too much judgement on it until I've actually seen the film. But I have a feeling it might disappoint me.

Also, WHERE ARE PICCOLO'S ANTENNAE?!
