Moved! Greetings from San Francisco.
Just a brief journal to let everyone know that I am now safely living in San Francisco after a rather tiring move. I just completed my first week at my new job and it looks like it's going to be a great place to work. I am living in San Francisco proper for the time being, but I am planning to move out to the suburbs and perhaps rent a house in Walnut Creek to cut down on expenses sometime in the autumn.
Anthrocon was one of my best conventions in years, and as always, I saw so many friends who made it as special as could be. The timing caused some minor problems with my move, which occurred immediately after I returned home from the con, but all turned out well! Next year's will be my 15th AC and I look forward to seeing everyone there.
I'll have more updates after I get better settled here in California, but things are looking up.

Thank you for the welcome! ^__^
Thank you for the good wishes! I'm hoping for continued good news.
I hope you had a wonderful time! Next year will perhaps be less hectic.
Good luck in finding affordable housing in San Fran! I've heard the housing prices are through the roof (hence multiple furries occupying the same house in order to pay for the rent/mortgage).
It must be a huge transition to go from upstate New York to a sprawling metropolis like San Francisco! I've always loved San Fran. My favourite spot is Hawk Hill, located north of the Golden Gate Bridge in the Marin Headlands. Just LOVE the view of San Francisco on top of Hawk Hill. You must visit this place when you get the chance and take some photos for me. :)
All the best to you, Soba! I hope to see you again at a future furry convention -- maybe Midwest FurFest if it's on your itinerary for early December.
Take care!
MFF is tentatively on my itinerary, but getting away for it might be a little troublesome. I'll see how my job goes and hopefully it won't be a problem and I will see you there. :)
And I hope you're doing awesome, yourself!
It's good to know that you're gonna move out to the suburbs later on. As much as I love San Francisco weather (because I like it cold) it's bloody expensive to live there. One good thing about it is that there's public transport all over the place, so you won't have to walk excessively or even worse, drive within the city.
But in general the Bay Area has fantastic weather. It's one of the reasons why it's pricier to live here. We hope to meet ya soon!
PS. I'm craving those little macarons now.
I really look forward to seeing you. It will need to wait a little bit while I get settled, but I suspect the time will fly.
AC was a blast. I wish we could have spent more time together, but I'm always grateful for the time we do have. As of next year, you and I will have known each other for 20 years. Scary, huh? :)
Things are looking good! I'm still getting settled, but I think it will all work out.
Thank you very much for all of your kindness. I'll see if I can sneak up north sometime to bother you. :)
And I'll house you for the stay as well. It's a comfy den in my place anyways- you can slumber away! :P
I do hope your trip is a wonderful one. Be safe!
