Payment
Premade suits:
Upon Autobuy via Furbuy or Dealers Den you will be expected to pay a minimum of 50% down payment of the completed quote (50% non-refundable after materials are bought or if an auction has been bought and buyer chooses to cancel). Your commission must be paid in full before work will begin on it or shipped depending on the situation. As of now Demon's Den Studios only accepts payment through PAYPAL via invoices.
If the premade suit is a used item and is up for re-sale and labeled as "as is" and "no return" I will not offer refunds. Forced refunds in this case will be met with a 0 refund policy and you will be black listed and will no longer be able to purchase suit, cosplay, or art.
Custom suits:
Once an agreed upon start date has been chosen, you will be expected to pay a minimum of 50% down payment of the completed quote (50% non-refundable after initial payments once materials are bought, if materials have not been purchased the refund will be 10% of total purchase price). Your commission must be paid in full before work will begin.
Payments are taken via Paypal invoices only at this time. Please note that ALL payments must be made in USD. Failure to pay in USD will result in additional fees being added to the end price.
*Policy change (9/6/18): As of this date Demon's Den Studios customers that are making payments towards commissions will need to meet a minimum monthly payment of $50. This payment can be multiple payments as long as you meet the required $50 for the month.
If for some reason you are unable to meet this requirement, DDS asks you to contact Kristen IMMEDIATELY. We can allow for up to 3 months of non payment (or more should your situation require it), but it must be agreed upon before any payments are missed. Please note that at this time I will only be granting one extension per customer unless circumstances are out of your control which must be discussed with me no less than one week before the next payment due date (the last day of the month).
If more than 2 payments are missed without contact, the commission will be canceled and your money will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit. If non-payment exceeds the 3 months (or agreed time) with contact and non-payment agreement, your commission will be canceled and your money will be refunded less a 5% fee (this fee covers shipping and any non-recoverable material purchases that may have occurred after original deposit was made).
Shipping
Shipping costs are included in the price of all costumes, they will be an additional charge if shipped outside of the continental US. Demon's Den Studios is NOT responsible for any lost or damage received product. ALL stateside and non European shipping will be handled through USPS and all European shipping will be handled through DHL. All shipping will include insurance and tracking. Tracking number will be provided as soon as it is shipped and will be attached to the PAYPAL invoice. Customs fees are NOT included and the buyer will be responsible for these fees should they occur.
ALL orders over $100 (excluding Etsy orders) must either have full door to door tracking and or signature confirmation, as well as will be fully insured. I will charge a $5 convenience fee for this service. This is not an optional service as it protects both you and I should things go wrong. Signature confirmations are required for all apartment destinations.
Warranty and Repairs
If your parts arrive with any fitting issues or is defective in any way, please contact me right away to arrange for an adjustment or repair. If we are in error, DDS will be responsible for paying shipping both ways. We do ask that you contact us FIRST before making any alterations or send the suit to other makers for alterations! This allows us to keep track of what is done to the suit so we are aware of any damages or issues that were ours and what was done by others.
With normal wear and tear throughout the first year of obtaining your costume, Demon's Den studios offers free minor repairs to keep your suit looking its best. Shipping is required by the customer for packages delivered to DDS. What is not wear and tear: intentional cuts in fabric or seams, trimming of fur, any alterations that were not pre-approved, or holes where alterations are/were desired or where stains/damaged fur use to be.
After a year, all repairs either large or small will be charged a fee. All repairs are subject to be declined based off of scheduling conditions. DDS cannot guarantee getting repairs fixed immediately in all situations.
*Update 1/21/2021 With impending closure all repairs covered by warranties will be settled with clients- in most cases DDS will cover the cost of the repair and the customer will be given a few options to either find a local fursuit maker able to make the repair or I will find one for you. If there are no locals near, contacting local tailors or similar will be the next viable option. Once a quote for the repair is given, DDS will cover the cost of the repair within reason (usually no more than an hourly wage's worth depending on the repair). If the needed repair is major I will discuss what needs to be done with the client at the time.
**No repairs will be made after 1/1/2022** This covers the repair times of all custom work and I'll no longer be open for wear and tear repairs. DDS can provide a list of several makers that would be more than happy to take on repairs in this case.
Please expect your suit parts to go through normal wear and tear. If you take proper care of your parts, it will last for years. But, as with any article of clothing, there will be a point of no return, and the life of your suit part will be over. If you ever need replacement items, please contact us and we can quote you for individual items. Please be aware that we can make no guarantee on matching fabrics exactly years later as even the same color of fabric from the same manufacturer can vary slightly with each new dye lot they produce.
PLEASE NOTE!! Any modification to your costume body for NSFW reasons voids any and all warranty. If any suit part is found to be participating in adult sexual situations the warranty will also be voided.
Warranty does NOT carry on if you chose to resell or if the item changes parties.
Concept Art
In order to bring your custom character to life a concept art will be needed. If the auction includes concept art you and DDS may make contact to set up a specific time that works for both parties to do an online stream in the creation of the new character. If you wish to give DDS artistic liberty when it comes to your commission, a WIP will be sent within 24h of initial payment to get character confirmation.
If you have an existing character, please make sure you have at least one clear reference that shows specific markings. Anthro references are preferred. DDS requests you have a full 3 view (front, back, and side) of the character. If you are commissioning for a head alone, a front and side view will be the only requirements to make sure your character comes to life properly.
Cancellations
The initial 50% down payment as stated previously is not refundable for ALL auctioned items, or once materials are bought for custom suits. Keeping this in mind, making sure you are financially secure before commissioning is very crucial. However part of what you have paid can be refunded, but if work has already been started it will affect how much can be refunded. Refunds will be given as our financial budget allows but in most cases will not exceed six months from initial request.
(Policy change as of 2/25/19) If for any reason a cancellation request has been made and the customer decides to do a chargeback through Paypal or bank without giving me up to 72 hours notice, the customer will forfeit 90% of their refund. To avoid this, please notify me before taking action and allow me to come up with a solution. If for some reason I am unreachable through email, facebook, twitter, and/ or discord for more than 72h prior to giving me notice of charge back, the refund will go back to 50% of total cost.
If the cancellation is on Demon's Den's behalf for whatever reason, you will be refunded any payments (including the deposit) less the material and shipping costs (receipt will be provided) and any materials purchased will be returned to the buyer. If you do not wish for the materials you will be refunded for the cost of the materials, but not the shipping.
Please note that failure to pay if given a deadline does not count as a cancellation!!
Design Changes
Design changes can be made up until work is actually started on the suit and supplies are ordered. If supplies are ordered and work is already started; I can NOT guarantee all changes can be made. Please be sure you are absolutely satisfied with your design before work begins. If design changes are made, it may change the price of your original quote and increase it since you were quoted for something different before.
Sizing
Duct tape dummies are required for full suit commissions. If you plan or think you're going to lose / gain any weight before your commission please wait to make your DTD until it is needed. It is important that the duct tape dummy is an accurate representation of your body, so when you get your suit it fits.
Our new DTD tutorial is in the making and will be available shortly.
Failure to follow specific rules will result in us asking you to remake your DTD to these specifications.
*new policy as of 3/23/18* DDS asks that you use Gorilla brand tape in either white or black ONLY (please do not buy the silver color). If you want to save some money you may make your first layer from standard duct tape but you must make the top layer from either the white or black Gorilla tape. This ensures the durability of the DTD and makes sure that it does not stretch or shrink as normal duct tape may do over time or when exposed to climate changes. This brand can be bought on most amazon sites, but if it is unavailable to ship to your country I am willing to act as a conduit and will front up to $15 in redirect shipping costs.
PLEASE LABEL YOUR DTD WITH YOU OR YOUR CHARACTERS NAME. This helps me when storing and working on suits.
DDS also asks that you make sure to mark the base of your tail bone for proper placement of your future tail.
Other measurements:
I will need your head circumference, a tracing of your hand (both if you feel it is necessary) if you have larger or smaller than average hands, and your shoe size (preferably in US). To insure proper fit on all body suits and armsleeves, we ask that you also measure your inseam (croth to floor along your leg) as well as your arm from top of shoulder to the base of your thumb.
Completion and Deadlines
Completion dates can not be predicted exactly, however we will try to provide you with a rough estimate of when your suit may be completed. DDS currently does not guarantee suits for con deadlines, we don't want to rush our work and provide you with less than the best quality we can offer. On average it takes 6 to 8 weeks start to finish for full suits once work has begun, but may take upwards of 5-6 months during busy seasons.
Disclaimers:
ALLERGY WARNING: Most of the fur that DDS uses has been around our pet dogs. If you have allergies, please let me know ahead of time so that I can clean the fur and work in a separate working environment to cut down on allergens. If you have severe dog allergies, I would suggest not commissioning us as it is inevitable that some contact will be made. ** AUGUST- DECEMBER 2017 We have puppies in the house and have an excess of allergens- PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION IF YOU HAVE CANINE ALLERGIES!!!**
DDS is currently no longer taking commissions from minors under the age of 18. Please inform me IMMEDIATELY if you are under this age. Not doing so will void our contract. IF WORK HAS STARTED and I am contacted by parents- refunds will be given within a reasonable time frame and any progress made to the suit will be altered and turned into a similar but different character and be resold as a pre-made. No rights will be transferred to the minor and you will be blacklisted from any further transactions with DDS even after the minor comes of age.
If minor purchases and item is shipped, one of two options will proceed depending on item- custom items are NON-RETURNABLE. Either no refund will be given and item is kept, or parent can return item and once it has arrived I will refund once the item has been resold. Forced refund policy applies in this case as well.
I reserve the right to cancel at any time for any reason. Please also be aware that I will send updates and photos as often as I can and upon request, however excessive inquiries may result in cancellation.
***Policy change for 2018 (7/8/18). Any orders over $75 that are to be shipped will have a $3 service fee added to the total to cover signature delivery confirmation. This is mandatory from here on out as it gives both me and the buyers protection. You must provide your legal name for ALL shipping for customs paperwork (I now am filling out customs for ALL countries outside of Germany). Thank you!***

General
- Payments are accepted through Paypal using USD currency. Payment required up-front.
- All work, unless stated otherwise, are non-commercial. This means you may not use a work commission from me for profit.
- I retain the rights to my artwork.
- I will never make prints or otherwise sell individual pieces of commissioned artwork. However, I retain the rights to display them where and when I please.
- You may color or crop an image you have commissioned from me. Please ask for permission to edit in any other manner first.
- Never commission someone to alter or edit in any way a work you commissioned from me.
- I retain the right to modify and resell any rejected WIP as pre-pose/ YCHs at a later date.
- Small commissions and most sketches are not guaranteed to come with a WIP. Generally anything under $20 fits this qualification.
Refunds
- Not available for adoptables. You may resell/give away/etc.
- If a commission has not been started I will provide you with a full refund.
- If only a WIP has been done, I will provide you with a 70% refund, rounded up to the dollar value. If you request someone to redraw/complete a WIP I did for you, or you do it yourself, I will blacklist you from commissioning me again, because that's a not nice thing to do.
- If a work is complete it is not eligible for a refund.
- If I cancel a commission, you will be refunded in full and also receive any work that has been completed for free.
Revisions
- Please ask for them in the WIP stage. I'll even welcome redrawing the WIP once or twice.
- I will only do small revisions/recolors after the work is complete. If I made a mistake, then I will fix it. Just let me know!
- Please do not come to me days after I delivered a commission and ask me to adjust something. You already approved it by accepting it on delivery. I do not rework completed art.
References
- Character visual reference required. Please do not come to me with various references and ask me to Frankenstein-together a character for you. I will not design a character for you unless it is a character design commission.
- You may describe a pose to me or allow me to "wing it".
- I will also work from visual pose/ theme references. Please note that I will never completely replicate a pose, especially from another artwork or someone else's YCH. I WILL work to get across the key important components/angles of a pose that you want, while making enough differences for it to be a unique artwork. Remember; you will be given WIPs!
- As for character references, please do NOT link me to a gallery filled of artwork of the character. Please select 1-2 pieces for me to work from. Otherwise, it gets confusing.
- Please send SFW references or give me a heads up if your ref is NSFW so that I can block out detailing.
Will Not Draw...
- In a style other then my own
- I will not design characters or clothes for you unless you commission me for this kind of specificity
- Children in non child-like situations
- Inflation
- Micro/Macro hyper
- Watersports/ skat
- Dirty diapers
-Overtly political or hate related

NSFW
-No longer taking commissions for NSFW, but will work with pinups and mature poses with in reason.
Cancellations, Refunds, etc.
- If you are unhappy with any aspect of your commission please contact me so that we can work on improving it or come to an accord.
- Force refunds for art without contacting me to give me a chance to work things out will result in a 0% refund. If for some reason you cannot contact me or I do not respond for more than two weeks, the refund will reflect the amount of work that has been completed. Completion, wip, etc can be found on my trello and on my Facebook. You will have the most up to date wip sent to you via your preffered method of communication for any clarification.
Please note that I reserve the right to tone down and modify some extremely bright colored characters to fit in with my style. Some color combinations are very hard to work with and this allows me not to have eye strain when working with these characters. If you are unhappy with the final piece I will alter the colors back, but the version that I post will be subdued.
*When contract is sent via email and/or invoice has gone out please note that at this point you have already agreed upon my Terms of Service even if you do not send me the required statement. This is mostly for auction bidders as bidding in and of itself is agreeing to my Terms of Service and the statement is merely a formality.

- Please do not come to me days after I delivered a commission and ask me to adjust something. You already approved it by accepting it on delivery. I do not rework completed art.
References
- Character visual reference required. Please do not come to me with various references and ask me to Frankenstein-together a character for you. I will not design a character for you unless it is a character design commission.
- You may describe a pose to me or allow me to "wing it".
- I will also work from visual pose/ theme references. Please note that I will never completely replicate a pose, especially from another artwork or someone else's YCH. I WILL work to get across the key important components/angles of a pose that you want, while making enough differences for it to be a unique artwork. Remember; you will be given WIPs!
- As for character references, please do NOT link me to a gallery filled of artwork of the character. Please select 1-2 pieces for me to work from. Otherwise, it gets confusing.
- Please send SFW references or give me a heads up if your ref is NSFW so that I can block out detailing.

- In a style other then my own
- I will not design characters or clothes for you unless you commission me for this kind of specificity
- Children in non child-like situations
- Inflation
- Micro/Macro hyper
- Watersports/ skat
- Dirty diapers
-Overtly political or hate related
-anything that can be construed as bestiality or the likes

-No longer taking commissions for NSFW, but will work with pinups and mature poses with in reason.
Cancellations, Refunds, etc.
- If you are unhappy with any aspect of your commission please contact me so that we can work on improving it or come to an accord.
- Force refunds for art without contacting me to give me a chance to work things out will result in a 0% refund. If for some reason you cannot contact me or I do not respond for more than two weeks, the refund will reflect the amount of work that has been completed. Completion, wip, etc can be found on my trello and on my Facebook. You will have the most up to date wip sent to you via your preffered method of communication for any clarification.
Please note that I reserve the right to tone down and modify some extremely bright colored characters to fit in with my style. Some color combinations are very hard to work with and this allows me not to have eye strain when working with these characters. If you are unhappy with the final piece I will alter the colors back, but the version that I post will be subdued.
*When contract is sent via email and/or invoice has gone out please note that at this point you have already agreed upon my Terms of Service even if you do not send me the required statement. This is mostly for auction bidders as bidding in and of itself is agreeing to my Terms of Service and the statement is merely a formality.
