1.What would you like to see me do more of? (Content, YCH, Adoptables Ect.) Content or Do what you feel you would like to see.
2. In your opinion when an artist takes commissions how many in a queue is to many? That is a tricky one, I would say three to five (3-5 commissions.)
3.If I did an Iron Artist would ya'll be interested at all in that? Sure
4.I have been throwing around doing a small comic for a while now... Yet I have no ideas. Anyone got any for me? there are plenty of ideas and that should be something done off list.
5.Would you like to see me stream more often? if I had time to watch any streams sure.
6. What if I up'ed my pricing a wee bit? Would that make people angry? Place your pricing where it will do good.
7.Which of my characters would you like to see more of? (Lin or Cecil?) And what should they be doing? no clue, haven't really seen your characters.
8.Have any fun ways that I can still make a wee bit of money but ya'll get something awesome in return? set up a Patreon account.
9.What is one (or more) thing(s) I can get better at? No clue
10. What are some things I should continue/ things you like that I do? How does one get into Carnegie Hall, Practice... Practice... Practice...
Hope that helps.
More YCHs might be fun. I'd love to see more lesbian-themed YCH offers, though that's more just sort of a general wish than directed specifically at you. As far as content goes, I'd love to see more romantic scenes of any orientation, and I have to admit I rather like how you draw tentacles.
2. In your opinion when an artist takes commissions how many in a queue is to many?
That can depend on what they're offering and how fast they work. Ten or fifteen quick sketch slots, for example, is quite a bit different than ten or fifteen full color slots. But as a general rule, I tend to avoid commissioning artists who have more than 20 or so items in a queue at a time unless they're just blazing through them, or they're someone I've commissioned enough to really trust them.
3.If I did an Iron Artist would ya'll be interested at all in that?
I think it sounds like it could be fun.
4.I have been throwing around doing a small comic for a while now... Yet I have no ideas. Anyone got any for me?
That's hard to say, without knowing what genres you like or what you're comfortable drawing. The fantasy fan in me says do something with a Wonderland flavor, though.
5.Would you like to see me stream more often?
It's kind of hard for me to attend a lot of streams, but it is fun to get to watch people work.
6. What if I up'ed my pricing a wee bit? Would that make people angry?
If you feel that changing your prices would make things more fair to you, I say go for it. Artists deserve to be fairly compensated for the work they do!
7.Which of my characters would you like to see more of? (Lin or Cecil?) And what should they be doing?
Why not both, showing off some pretty new clothes?
8.Have any fun ways that I can still make a wee bit of money but ya'll get something awesome in return?
Well, I like the Iron Artist idea mentioned above. But I don't know if that would be any fun for you.
9.What is one (or more) thing(s) I can get better at?
Art critique is hardly my strong point. I think your work looks just fine.
10. What are some things I should continue/ things you like that I do?
I know they were commissions, but I thought your cats in space pictures were adorable. It would be fun to see more space themed art from you at some point.
I'm not sure how helpful that is, but I hope it might be at least kind of useful!
2. Any more than 10.
3. Would be pretty cool.
4.None, sorry.
5. Streams are a lot of fun, you should!
6. Some people, I'm sure. As long as the price matches the quality, it should be fine.
7. Anything with Lin!
8. One thing I've seen is someone open 5 commission slots and choose one random person who gets theirs free.
9. I would say shading.
10. Your chibi's are adorable!
This is the tough one. The biggest thing you can do is what you feel you're good at. You're likely to have better products if you do what you enjoy.
2. In your opinion when an artist takes commissions how many in a queue is to many?
I don't think there's really a limit in general but there should be a limit to the individual depending on their speed. You don't want to take so many that those on the back end are waiting so long.
3.If I did an Iron Artist would ya'll be interested at all in that?
Hmm, I'd probably have to say, make sure you queue is empty or like with one or two left before opening this option. It could be a good idea if you've got the speed. (Again, limiting the slots to what you think you can handle)
4.I have been throwing around doing a small comic for a while now... Yet I have no ideas. Anyone got any for me?
Work with someone, a writer, to work together. Penny Arcade, after all, started as an artist and a writer. Now they have their own convention. (It'd also help to have topical humor so the writer would need to be savvy to that. The other option would be to prepare to a lengthy tale.)
5.Would you like to see me stream more often?
I rarely go to streams. You've seen the only exception I make. XD
6. What if I up'ed my pricing a wee bit? Would that make people angry?
That's really up to you to change your prices. Your prices are what you say your art/time is worth to you. No one else should have a say in it. There will always be people that thing it's a good deal and people that will bitch. *Shrugs*
7.Which of my characters would you like to see more of? (Lin or Cecil?) And what should they be doing?
Ah~h... dunno.
8.Have any fun ways that I can still make a wee bit of money but ya'll get something awesome in return?
Hmm, hopefully you'll be able to find something!
9.What is one (or more) thing(s) I can get better at?
Keep in touch with clients, show a queue, etc. I can understand being busy, but dropping a line even at least once a week can easily make a world of difference.
10. What are some things I should continue/ things you like that I do?
Keep up the good work. X3 Simple as that.
YCH's are in vogue right now, and it's a great way to knock out multiple commissions rather quickly.
2. In your opinion when an artist takes commissions how many in a queue is to many?
In honesty, it depends on the artist. There are artists who are active every day, yet can take over a year to do one commission. Likewise, there are artists who can knock out three or four in a week. It's more appropriate to limit the first kind to a low number, while the second could constantly take new orders.
3.If I did an Iron Artist would ya'll be interested at all in that?
If money wasn't an issue, yes I would.
4.I have been throwing around doing a small comic for a while now... Yet I have no ideas. Anyone got any for me?
Can't say to be honest, not without knowing what your particular tastes are. If I had to throw an idea out there though, perhaps an everyday life comic with a hint of adventure, along the lines of "Better Days" and "Original Life", for an example.
5.Would you like to see me stream more often?
I'm not big into streams myself, so that's a moot point.
6. What if I upped my pricing a wee bit? Would that make people angry?
Increasing prices is guaranteed to make someone angry, no way around it. That said, it wouldn't bother me personally.
7.Which of my characters would you like to see more of? (Lin or Cecil?) And what should they be doing?
If I had to chose, Lin. As for what she'd be doing, can't say myself.
8.Have any fun ways that I can still make a wee bit of money but ya'll get something awesome in return?
PWYW pieces could be a good idea. They get a commission, even if it is a wing-it sketch, at a price they find reasonable, and you open yourself up to the clients who might not otherwise hire you.
9.What is one (or more) thing(s) I can get better at?
To be blunt? Working speed. Life happens, I get that, and I'm a patient person, so I'm not particularly bothered by how long my commissions are taking. However, not everyone will share my "It'll get done when it gets done" attitude. A slow turn around time can, and will, impact what others think of you when considering commissioning.
10. What are some things I should continue/ things you like that I do?
Just keep being you. :3
