Hello folks, I want to upgrade my PC's CPU which is an I5 3330 at 3Ghz. I'm thinking on buying an AMD 8320E or 8350, as it's more cost efective than buying an Intel 3770K

My use will be for CAD and BIM works on civil engineering, and some games as well. I know Intel has a better single core performance, but it's cost is too high for me, out of my budget.

For instance, I converted the prices of them from USD to BRL (Brazil)

I have a bugdet of $340 USD

AMD 8320E + Gigabyte 990fxa UD5 = 366 USD (yes, I can save for a better MB, if I go for a cheaper one I can afford it right away)

Intel I7 3770K = 478 USD for just the CPU, which is quite out my bugdet

I'd like to know what you guys suggest, if it could just be rather good with the AMD, since Intel is quite off my budget.

For instance, USD prices are: 1 USD = 3,55 BRL (quite high for nowadays)
